Nick has worked in the recovery field for five years. He began his career at a residential facility for young adults, and was promoted to program director within a year and a half. He was hired by Hoag Hospital in the Fall of 2015 for the intensive outpatient program at the Irvine campus. Nick wrote the curriculum for the program and was promoted to lead within the first six months. He also received a scholarship from Onsite in Tennessee for a five-day psychodrama intensive training for therapists. He has been acting as a “sober coach” for the last two years, helping individuals in recovery to strengthen their program and develop resiliency.
Nick has been in recovery for eight years. He has been active in fundraising for AIDS/HIV charities for the last six years. Nick also is a court appointed special advocate for the Riverside County Foster System. He finds importance in finding spirituality in nature and takes joy in hiking.
